The north-eastern part of India is largely an unexplored land. From thrilling treks to lush jungles, natural caves, and pristine landscapes, there is so much to discover and experience in this region.

The first trek begins from the Siang plains and passes through dense forest areas. The second route leads through the Tipi Orchidarium to Bomdila. On the third trekking route, the main attractions include Mehao Lake Sanctuary and boating at Sally Lake.

Teesta and Rangit Rivers
The icy waters of the Teesta River provide some of the finest stretches for rafting. Both the Teesta and its tributary, the Rangit River, offer long stretches ideal for thrilling yet safe rafting experiences. The Teesta has been graded as Grade 4 on the International Scale of River Difficulty, while the Rangit, with its roaring waters, offers an additional challenge for experienced rafters. Both amateur and expert rafters can seek assistance from the Department of Tourism and authorized travel agents to arrange rafting expeditions in Sikkim.

Brahmaputra River
The Brahmaputra River in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam offers excellent rafting opportunities. Known as the Siang in Arunachal Pradesh, the mighty Brahmaputra cascades down from Tibet into the northeast, creating some of the most exhilarating rapids in India. Though remote and challenging, this region is an ultimate destination for seasoned rafters seeking adventure amidst stunning natural beauty.
