Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh

Tucked away in the northeastern tip of India, Arunachal Pradesh is home to picturesque mountains, unexplored passes, tranquil lakes, and ancient monasteries. Also known as the Land of Dawn-Lit Mountains, the name "Arunachal" literally means "land of the rising sun." The state boasts one of the richest biodiversities in India, making it a true natural wonder. It is home to more than 500 species of orchids and hundreds of rare plant species, covering over 60% of its total area with forests. Arunachal Pradesh is also mentioned in ancient Indian texts such as the Kalika Purana and the great Hindu epic, the Mahabharata.
